How to get crazy about something healthy? 😮

We know that one of the sweetest things in the world is snacking various irresistible but unhealthy snacks full of fat, sugar, additives, and empty calories … Especially with the games of your favourite club, binge watching your favorite TV show and watching real movies. Don’t worry, we won’t bother you with data and convince you to stop your favourite activity, but we will offer you a tastier, more creative and, in the end, much healthier alternative – such as roasted chickpeas. 🙂 Of course, everything is easy to prepare and without much effort. 😉

 

Chickpeas are not just one of the basic ingredients of Ribella Hummus, but a beauty that is full of protein, vitamins, and many other nutrients … And in addition, everything is gluten-free, for all those who care about it in the foods they use.

 

Many do not know that chickpeas can be used as a perfect substitute for chips, popcorn, sweets and other “sinful” snacks. : D And once you try them – it’s over because you’re sure to get hooked. 😉

 

Crunchy Roasted Chickpeas Recipe

If you follow our quick recipe, you’ll end up with a flavoury, healthy protein-packed, and savoury snack. You can also add all sorts of different seasonings for salty, spicy, and even sweet flavours.

 

Ingredients

  • Chickpeas — 2 cups (250 grams), canned or boiled
  • Olive oil — 2 tablespoons
  • Sea salt — ½ teaspoon
  • Seasonings — ground cumin (1 teaspoon), chilli powder (1 teaspoon). Alternatively, use turmeric, thyme, black pepper, cinnamon, garlic powder, sage, etc.

Instructions

Let your oven heat up to 200C. Then, drain the chickpeas with your strainer. Make sure that the chickpeas are fully dry. That’s how they’ll get fully crispy. Simply spread them out on some baking paper and leave them for a few minutes. If there are any skins, take them off.

 

Next, line a baking tray with parchment paper. Pour your chickpeas in and drizzle them with salt and olive oil. Use a spoon or your hands to spread the mixture and bake for 30 minutes. Take them out and add in the cumin and chilli. Remember that you can use all sorts of different seasonings depending on your preferences.

 

After that, switch the oven off but put the tray back in. If you let them sit for a while (approx. 20 minutes), they will be even crunchier. And that’s not all! Besides the chickpeas, it would be a good idea to serve some fresh veggies with Ribella Hummus Natural for some extra guilt-free goodness!  But that’s on you!
