The Perfect Hummus Soup for Cold Days

The cold days are upon us, which means we’re leaving behind the cold drinks and meals that was lifesaving for hot summer days. Now is the time for warm meals, that will give us everything needed in this period of year. Soups and stews are perfect in fall and winter because there’s no better way to warm ourselves up and relax after a long, hard day.


That is not the only reason why soups are important, though. They also boost our immune system because they contain ingredients rich in vitamins we need. That means you can make a soup out of any of your favorite meats or veggies. However, today is star of the show is our hummus soup with incredible Ribella Hummus. This is the kind of meal the whole family can enjoy. So, let’s take a look at what makes this recipe for Hummus Soup so special!



  • Olive oil — 2 tbsp
  • An onion — medium, chopped
  • Garlic — 2 cloves, minced
  • Vegetable stock — 1l
  • Sweet potato — 3, medium-sized, chopped
  • Cumin — 2 tbsp
  • Ribella Hummus Natural — 280gr, one larger and one small package
  • Salt — ½ tbsp


Put a large pot with olive oil on medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté it for 5 minutes before adding 2 cloves of garlic and stirring until fragrant. Add vegetable stock, sweet potatoes, and cumin next. Let it come to a boil before lowering the heat and simmering until sweet potatoes soften (30–45 minutes). Stir in the Ribella Hummus Natural and take off the heat. Use a hand blender until you get a smooth soup. Salt to taste.
