Unusual Dishes With Hummus

Do you know that you can use hummus as a delicious marinade for chicken or steak? Or that you can add it to pizza, burgers, and even cocktails like the Bloody Mary?


If you want to experiment with new flavor combinations or spice up some traditional dishes, hummus has a lot to offer! Take a look at some unusual dishes with hummus!

Grilled and Stuffed Sweet Potatoes

If you’re craving barbeque but want a healthy alternative, gather the following ingredients:

  • 4 sweet potatoes
  • ½ cup of cooked corn
  • ½ cup of cherry tomatoes (sliced)
  • ¼ cup of cooked black beans
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of lime juice
  • ½ cup of Ribella Hummus Natural or Ribella Hummus Spicy
  • Chopped coriander or parsley


Boil the sweet potatoes for around ten minutes until they are soft. Then, cut them into halves and drizzle some olive oil and salt. Place the potatoes on your grill or grill pan. Remove them after ten minutes and spread a generous amount of hummus over each half. Add the rest of the ingredients on top and finish off with a pinch of chopped coriander and some lime juice.


Creamy Pasta

This pasta recipe is quick, easy, and equally creative! Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 cup of broccoli
  • 1 zucchini
  • Spinach, kale, and rocket
  • ½ cup of boiled or canned chickpeas
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon of lemon juice
  • ½ cup of Ribella Hummus Shiitake or Ribella Hummus with Pumpkin Seeds
  • 1 cup of tagliatelle or similar dried pasta


Slice the broccoli and zucchini and add them to a baking tray. Add salt, pepper, and olive oil and bake for around 15 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the tagliatelle for ten minutes and add in the spinach and kale. Then, strain the pasta and add the roasted veggies, hummus, more olive oil, and chickpeas.
